For the past few weeks, I've known that my first character in the new Animal Crossing game would be an expy of my OC Victor. I've been using him in a lot of things; I get on these random tears every couple of years where I flog the hell out of a particular character, and his number came up this time.

And I realized that given Victor's origins, putting him in an Animal Crossing game might have ... implications.

Scene: the idyllic rolling hills of an Animal Crossing village. The grass is bright green. Small butterflies flit here and there among the peach trees. In the foreground is a male human, Victor, sporting thick-rimmed glasses with faint circular patterns, a white lab coat and a longish black ponytail. He carries a butterfly net over one shoulder and walks with a carefree, light-hearted manner. Small musical notes indicating singing trail behind him.

Panel: Victor passes by “Stitches”, a teddy bear composed of scraps of multi-colored cloth, who is fishing from a bright blue river. Stitches smiles and hails him.

Stitches: Mornin', mister Mayor! Beautiful day, huh, stuffin'?

Victor: Oh, hello, Stitches! Is anything biting?

Stitches: Not really, stuffin'. I got a pretty nice boot, though!

Panel: Centered on Victor this time, slightly closer in. Stitches speaks from off panel.

Stitches: But in a little bit I was gonna head up to the train station to see who came in today!

Victor has tilted his head to the side and wears a puzzled expression. A question mark floats over his head.

Victor: Hm? But nobody ever visits...

Another voice speaks from off panel.

???: Well, that's about to change!

Panel: Victor turns around to see other humans who have come up behind him: one with short brown hair and sporting a brown coat and hat, another with longer black hair wearing a lurid green shirt with an exclamation point on it. Victor is overjoyed to see them; his head is surrounded by an aura of warm light and flowers.

Victor: Oh! I remember you! You finally came! This is fantastic!

Panel: Violent scene change. In opposition to the bright, summery colors from the previous panels, the scene is now murky and dark with deep maroon undertones. Victor now has normal human proportions and looks haggard and unwell. He is curled up on a luxurious bed with dark burgundy sheets. The covers are tangled up in an unkempt pile to one side of him. Despite being naked, he does not reach for them. His long hair covers his eyes, but the lower half of his face is almost distorted in an unnatural smile. His voice is quiet and shaky.

Victor: I missed you … s-so much … I'll show you around! Come on...

Yay! I'll definitely write more- maybe even tonight. I just really love breaking Michael's heart. And I haven't even talked about Andy! Andy the prostitute who is in love with Prince David who uses him and other low lifes as spies and shit! I just love that verse a lot.
