Ah I see! I guess I just assumed it must be an already-established setting, because I'm so used to that in canon. Earth-982 and that kind of thing.
I think you developed/explored the Personas setting exactly as much as was needed to tell this story. Most of the hows and whys are left a mystery, but that's a plus rather than a minus in my book.
