I was very impressed by how Critic handled Harvey's revelation. He was just like "Oh. OH." and tried not to rise to Harvey's crack about not getting dressed properly and was actually sort of...kind? Weird thing to call Critic but he has his moments.

AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH! This episode!

You know, going with your theory I think Charlie found Harvey's gun, like Jack's son did on Stargate, and accidentally shot himself. Harvey blamed himself, obviously, and his wife probably blamed him a little too and felt bad about it, and Harvey went into a depressive funk and just drank and drank until he met this younger nerd in glasses who wound up saving him and THEN THEY FOUGHT ALIENS TOGETHER AND BECAME A FAMILY THE END. (yes, Linkara is Daniel Jackson in this scenario)
