For over a year, I was taking Zoloft for my depression. It was helpful, to a point, and effectively managed my worst symptoms right up until we got into a big deadline crunch at work. I responded to an increased dosage with sudden searing nerve pains and decided with my doctor that it was time to switch.
For the past month, I've been taking Lexapro instead. It wasn't effective in moderating my depression at all, made me constantly drowsy, and caused mood swings that made me unpleasant and snarly.
I just got a scrip for Cymbalta today. Hopefully this will be the one that creates a permanent improvement.
